No matter how bad Days writing is, and it is bad we can always depend on Matt Ashford to give 100% in every scene. And make it worth watching. He can make any scene good. Days lets us down, the writers lets us down, but in my opinion Matt Ashford never has. So I know Thursday's show will be great because of what he brings along with the real life war vets. I would love for Days ratings to suck all week and then on Thursday have the ratings soar. That is the only day I will watch because I believe it is the only day he is on.

^Yup, it'll be the first episode I've watched since Jack decided to walk away from Jennifer last Monday. I'm glad Jack has this, but he could be so much better utilized, and the story with Jennifer . . . such a shame. I hoped it would be so good, and there were so many ways it could have been, but these writers have botched it even worse than I feared they might.

I'm definitely watching for Jack's PTSD story. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed.

I'll only be watching on Thursday as well. I wish we could find a way to let TPTB know there are many of us only enjoying Jack's PTSD sl, and to put more focus on that.

My only concern is that TPTB seem to hate Jack fans, and they make sure if we want it, we're guaranteed not to get it.

Can't wait for this eppy.

I can't for the life of me understand why MA isn't given more time to shine. The PTSD s/l and Will's two s/ls are the only thing going on right now worth watching.

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

Epi is interesting. We don't really learn anything new about Jack's Afghan experience that we already don't know. It was so nice that Marlena tells him how brave he his to deal with his PTSD and that his is like a hero to her (something like this). Jack feels a little nervous to met vets, he is just a journalist. The PDST SL, seems like it is moving in the direction of learning to live, cope and heal with what he has gone through. Jack realizes that he is not alone and the session gets personal, but not too personal. I had a hard time holding the tears back in the final scenes. (Last 5 minutes)Warning to get the kleenex box. Jack's turn to talk. Jack feels so alone. He is craving for love and support and is overwhelmed when they hugs and handshakes he receives from each of them. Here he has found acceptance. Marlena and Jack hug too  and and she tells him he did very well. MA did an awesome job! Encore! Encore!!

Sounds like a good episode. And Jack seems to be getting the emotional support he needs, finally. How ironic that it should come from a roomful of comparative strangers rather than from his own family. Please let this become an issue between himself and Jen-Jen, because her self-absorption and total lack of interest in his recovery merit a swift boot in the ass.

Guys - please repost these in the daily thread for tomorrow when it is started. At that point, this one will be locked. It would be best if you could just wait about an hour so you can continue to discuss it there! Thanks.

I don't know that I agree with the comment that the writers hate Jack fans. They have made Jack this run more sympathetic than he's ever been. And at this point we all wanted Jack and Jennifer separated...that's what we got and we wanted Jenn told off...that is also what we got. And Y'all ready for this Jack fans!!! Behold on today's (thursday's)episode...A WOMAN! Interestingly a brunette that arrived at the vets meeting later than everyone else....that Jack stood up for and they shook each other's hand. I know Jack is the newbie in the group meeting...but the fact that a beautiful, feminine, soft spoken.."good listener" marine walks into the room late and has a personal greeting with Jack...to me is significant and got me rather excited!. I think they are actually listening to the Jack fans out there..I think the J fans are responsible for some of the rewrites...hence the mysterious brunette. FB and twitter houses a lot of ignorant comments of people who don't know and understand the characters/history and show like we do. So I don't think they pay attention to those comments...I think it's threads like these that are of significant.

I'd like to think so, Sals, but considering that Jack has been on once a week for the past several weeks and probably isn't on next week at all, I doubt it.

Agreed! Her emotional detachment and lack of interest in Jack's recovery cannot and should not be ignored. If Jennifer is to be redeemed her issues must be dealt with. Poor Jack. :tears:

I hope she sticks around but I doubt it. We would've heard something by now if she was.

Well the way they've been writing couples lately by the time we next see Jack he might have gotten completely over Jennifer and be madly in love and planning a wedding to the mystery brunette ;)

The scenes sound good and I can't wait to see this tomorrow:)

Yaaah! Marlena and Jack hug! Jack deserves to feel that there are people who have his back and realize what he's trying to get through. Marlena'll be proud of him while his twit of an ex-wife is breaking up.
